Program History

CAGC Foundation LogoThe CAGC Foundation was awarded a $2.5 million grant from the North Carolina General Assembly to work in partnership with the NC Community College System to create a training and workforce development initiative, the Construction Bootcamp. This comprehensive, accelerated basic construction training program is designed to give students the skills they need to succeed in the construction industry while also pairing program graduates with mentors and opportunities for immediate job placement, apprenticeships, internships and degree programs through the CAGC Foundation's expansive network of partner members. All training, education and program supply costs will be covered by grant funding.

What You'll Learn

You’ll learn valuable skills across a variety of disciplines, receive hands-on training to use tools and equipment as well as achieve valuable, nationally recognized certifications that give you a leg up in your career. Skills include: Hands on training with tools and equipment, NCCER Credential, OSHA 10 Certification, CPR/First Aid Certification, soft skills training and more.

The CAGC Foundation will be there for you, both as a Construction Bootcamp student and after completing the program. Mentorship opportunities and job placement assistance is available to program participants through an expansive network of partner members. Whether your goal is immediate employment, an apprenticeship, an internship, or a degree program, the CAGC Foundation will support you.
