On September 10, 2024, CAGC invited Mary Allyson Chauvin, Human Resources/People Operations at Langston Construction Company, to give a talk regarding What to know about Employee Assistance Programs. This Lunch and Learn provided a guide to designing and implementing an effective Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and maximizing its benefits for both employees and the organization. An EAP is a work-based intervention program designed to assist employees in resolving personal problems that may be adversely affecting their performance. During this class the fundamentals of EAPs, best practices in design and adoption, and strategies to ensure employees make the most of the available resources.
