CAGC and panelists who work in the commercial construction industry tackled the issue of employee retention in June of 2024 This is part 1 in an ongoing series of seven round table discussions, each highlighting a specific retention strategy
Part 1: Mentoring
Mentoring programs establish a sense of belonging and support for employees, especially in commercial construction where skills are often passed down through generations. Pairing experienced workers with newer ones fosters knowledge transfer, skill development, and confidence, ultimately leading to higher retention rates as employees feel valued and invested in.
