Description: Qualifiers for NC Licensed General
Contractors are required to complete 6 hours of approved elective
continuing education. This two (2) hour class, “How to Create, Sustain
and Retain a Viable Workforce,” has been approved by the NCLBGC as an
elective class. Participants will learn about current workforce trends
in the construction industry labor market, and how they can align their
workforce development initiatives with these industry trends in an
effort to better position their companies to attract and recruit their
desired labor force while also retaining existing talent. The strategies
outlined in this course will equip participants with the tools they
need to formulate specific actionable methods employers can then use to
develop and implement effective programs to address their workforce
challenges and hiring needs. The course will be taught by an NCLBGC
approved instructor.
