The Construction Business Academy is a business development program designed to strengthen minority, disadvantaged and women owned businesses to ensure their sustainability and growth. Through a combination of targeted training, hands-on resources, and expert guidance, participants will learn how to streamline operations, leverage technology, and maximize assets to achieve their business goals. The Construction Business Academy empowers it's students to make strategic investments that drive efficiency, productivity, and ultimately, profits.
This comprehensive program includes in-person and virtual sessions of varying lengths that focus on areas critical to the growth and development of the participating company and business owners. Participants will be supported with business coaching and access to technical resources for a full year. Cohorts have been successfully completed in Charlotte, Greensboro, Goldsboro, Raleigh, and our first Statewide model is currently in session. Future cohorts will continue to be announced across North Carolina.
By the numbers: Our students see on average; a 53% increase in projected revenue, 50% increase in the number of their employees, and New Project Revenue total of $2.15 million.
Success Story: “Going through the CAGC Business Academy has been amazing! I’ve met so many new people in the minority business community and have worked with a few of them since our cohort. Because of this class, my business reaches a broader audience and has more visibility. We have also gained more knowledge and internal support from an operating standpoint because of the topic discussions in class. The program was well thought out with the business owner in my mind.” Melody Compton, Construction Business Academy Graduate, Purified Pros
