Register Your Organization for Construction Suicide Prevention Week
Join us in observing Construction Suicide Prevention Week from September 9-13. This critical week is dedicated to raising awareness about the higher suicide rates in the construction industry and providing essential resources for prevention. Recent studies from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have found high rates of adults struggling with mental health or substance use and many seriously considering suicide. The construction industry has the highest rate of suicide at 53.2 per 100,000 U.S. workers. That rate is four times greater than the national average and five times greater than that of all other construction fatalities combined.
We invite you and your company to participate alongside us in activities throughout the week with the goal of providing resources, helping individuals become more comfortable with conversations about mental health, and, ultimately, saving lives. In addition to the resources below, we hope you will participate on Monday, September 9 for one minute of silence during the first-ever, nationwide stand-down to honor all lives lost to suicide. Please feel encouraged to print this sign to honor someone in your life.
Together, we can save lives.
