Join us for our next North Carolina Virtual Luncheon, on September 30, from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., featuring NC Labor Commissioner Candidates Josh Dobson (R) and Jessica N. Holmes (D). This Labor Commissioner race is very important to the construction industry as the Commissioner has broad powers over the NC Department of Labor, which promotes the “health, safety and general well-being” of workers in the state. The discussion, coming before the November 3 general election, will be moderated by Dave Simpson, CAGC President & CEO, and CAGC members are encouraged to come with questions for the candidates.
Representative Josh Dobson (R) has served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for four terms, representing the people of Avery, McDowell and Mitchell counties. Prior to his appointment to the House in 2013, Josh served as a McDowell County Commissioner.
Currently serving as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, as well Chairman of the Health Policy Committee, Josh has worked diligently to find consensus while producing conservative common-sense solutions for the people of North Carolina. Read more
