Designing, Adopting, and Managing Employee Assistance Programs
This Lunch and Learn provides a guide to designing and implementing an effective Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and maximizing its benefits for both employees and the organization. An EAP is a work-based intervention program designed to assist employees in resolving personal problems that may be adversely affecting their performance. During this class the fundamentals of EAPs, best practices in design and adoption, and strategies to ensure employees make the most of the available resources.
Instructor Bio:
Mary Allyson Chauvin- With an undergraduate degree in Industrial Chemistry and graduate degrees in Human Resources and Project Management, Mary-Allyson adapts her scientific methodology experience to successfully drive high-impact business solutions with critical People Operations to align culture and business objectives. In her role with Langston Construction Co., Mary-Allyson provides leadership and facilitates collaboration for innovative solutions to multi-level challenges to elevate the Rhythm of Business and nurture motivating employee experiences. With over 20 years in the construction industry, Mary-Allyson has a passion for creating pathways to sustainable careers in the skilled trades.
Mary-Allyson serves on the Education Committee and as Vice-Chair of the HR Committee for the Carolinas Associated General Contractors of America, the WCU Construction Advisory Council, Co-Chair of the Skilled Trade Alliance, and is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and Greenville Society of Human Resource Management.
