Course Description:
QPR Gatekeeper Training is a nationally recognized suicide prevention program.
The key components that will be covered in this program are:
How to Question, Persuade, and Refer someone who may be suicidal.
How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide.
The common causes of suicidal behavior.
The warning signs of suicide.
How to get help for someone in crisis.
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive an e-certificate as a QPR Certified Gatekeeper, which is good for two years and have the knowledge and skills to serve as a gatekeeper for suicide prevention in the construction industry. They will be able to make a positive impact not only in the construction industry but help create a safer and healthier workplace for everyone. It is a critical investment for construction businesses that want to ensure the well-being of their employees, as well as promote a culture of care and support. Participants are required to attend the full two-hour session to complete this elective course.

**This course will be taught by a QPR certified instructor and upon successful completion participants will receive 2 hours of continuing education credit.
Requirements:
- Participants are required to have a computer equipped with a camera and microphone.
- Participation by cell phone is not permitted.
- Participants will be required to show a photo ID to be admitted into the virtual classroom.
- Please be sure to log on at least 30 minutes before class starts so that participant & Qualifier id’s can be confirmed.
- Admittance to a class after it has started is not permitted.
- If you inform us prior to the class beginning that you will not be able to attend or you are having technical issues, then you will be transferred to another class of your choosing.
- If you are a “No Show” for the class, your registration fee will be forfeited.
