We believe it's important to honor the achievements of our young leaders; the emergence of these young leaders is critical to the future of CAGC and the members we serve.

Christopher Boyd

Christopher Boyd
Chris Boyd has been with Crowder Constructors for 18 years and actually began his career there as a college intern, progressing from Project Engineer to Project Manager. He now leads Preconstruction Services for Crowder’s Heavy Civil Division. Chris has worked very hard over the years earning his degrees that include a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from NC State University, as well as his Master of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance and Development from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As a lifelong learner, Chris is always quick to raise his hand for the opportunity to learn and grow as a leader.  

Chris has been a CAGC young leader member since 2015 and has served on the SCDOT/CAGC Bridge Subcommittee for several years. 

Chris is married to Sarah and they have two daughters, Dylan and Blake. Chris said that one of his favorite things is being given the opportunity to coach his daughter’s softball team. It's something he always looks forward to as a Father.  

Kelsey Sanfilippo

Kelsey Sanfilippo

Known for her conscientious work, Kelsey is punctilious when it comes to her commitments. Whether it was being committed to earning her B.S. Degree, Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), or her daily commitment to her career; you will find Kelsey as one of the most committed team members of any project. Kelsey has over 6 years of experience in Project Management. She is currently serving with the Operations Team of WB Moore on a designated project team. She is diligent in maintaining excellent customer relationship between WB Moore and the Customer to ensure the project life cycle of the job is accurately communicated to the client and meets client’s satisfaction. Kelsey also proudly serves as a board member in a Director role for (NAWIC) National Association of Women in Construction. She has been a member of the CAGC Young Leaders since 2015 and hardly ever misses a Young Leader event. 

Kelsey married the love of her life, Matt Davis, in Greensboro, NC in May. 

 

Dale Schmidt

Dale SchmidtDale Schmidt with State Utility Contractors is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Before joining State Utility in July of 2013 as a line division project manager, Dale was an assistant project manager for Dane Construction. Dale now manages multiple pipeline projects as large as $10 million including large diameter water mains and gravity sewer mains. Dale is responsible for the overall scheduling, purchasing, safety, and production on each of the projects that he manages.  

Dale is currently the Chair of the Young Leader Program and has been apart of the program since 2014 and currently serves on the Carolinas AGC Board of Directors.  

Dale married his beautiful wife, Amy in June of 2008 and they have 2 daughters who are 8 and 6.
