Training

Frontline Training Video - For over 85 years Carolinas AGC has been instrumental in keeping the Carolinas Pro-employee/Union-free states. With increased union activity, a pro-union Administration and the likelihood of congressional action on the so-called Free Choice Act it is more important than ever for all Carolinas contractors to understand and prepare your company at all levels to ensure a Pro-employee/Union-free environment in the Carolinas. Most union activity takes place on the job site-- your job site management is your front line defense against union tactics that could leave you exposed to expensive litigation and organized harassment. To help you defend against union organizing campaigns, Carolinas AGC in partnership with Ogletree Deakins, Attorneys at Law, has produced the 1 ½ hour Front Line training video. Front Line will provide your management team with information and guidance necessary for you to effectively engage union organizing tactics.

Union Avoidance Seminars - Carolinas AGC, in cooperation with its labor relation attorneys, conducts Union Avoidance seminars throughout the Carolinas. These seminars are designed to apprise a contractor's supervisory personnel of signs that may indicate developing union problems and how to react. Also discussed are measures a contractor can take to discourage organizing activities at the outset.  For more information contact Nichole Costello at (704)372-1450 ext. 5223 or ncostello@carolinasagc.org

Craftworker Training - Carolinas AGC is an active partner with the National Center for Construction Education and Research. This partnership provides members of Carolinas AGC with the opportunity to participate in the nation's premier open shop craftworker training courses.
