New for Architects: Carolinas AGC Offers Free Learning Unit Credits

Carolinas AGC now offers NC and SC architects a free CEU option. The AIA Continuing Education Systems has recently approved CAGC as a Registered Provider.

Architects looking to fulfill annual professional development credit requirements can do so for free, while finding out how Carolinas AGC can help optimize the effectiveness of your bidding processes.

Our first program, “Using a Plan Room as a Resource” offers a look at what really happens to your bidding documents when you give them to a plan room or construction information service. CAGC developed this program because in our conversations with architects we have found that many architects had never really been exposed to:

• How AIA members can benefit during the bidding process from the relationship with a plan room service
• Security issues with electronic plans & specs, and the publishing of bidding opportunities
• What really goes on in a general contractor’s office on bid day, and what drives a subcontractor making bid decisions.

In addition, a final segment features the value of the long-standing working relationship between CAGC and the architectural community, and why it is unique.
