Proposed Design Build/PPP Legislation Introduced in NC
A bill was filed April 11 in the NC State House that would allow for design-build and public private partnerships in North Carolina. The bill would not affect NC Department of Transportation projects.

Effective for construction projects beginning 4/1/13, North Carolina law requires appointment of a lien agent. Appointments are not required for improvements under $30,000, to the owner's existing residence, or for public building projects.
