North Carolina
In North Carolina, transportation funding issues are addressed in three areas by CAGC.
- Protection of current funding levels
- Opposing any diversion of dedicated transportation funding for non-transportation uses
- Securing increased transportation funding to meet the ever increasing transportation needs in North Carolina and to provide expanded market opportunities for our members.
CAGC staff, directly, and through it’s leadership position on the NC GO transportation coalition is continuously active in lobbying and educational efforts designed to increase the political and public awareness of the critical role that transportation plays in our economy.

South Carolina
Carolinas AGC is an active partner in the on going drive for increase Highway funding in South Carolina. We have participated with the Bussiness Aliance, an organization formed by the
SC Transportation Policy and Research Council, in developing a speakers bureau, lobbying the SC House and Senate, continuous education of highway maintenance to the motoring public and exploring other sources for funding.
